Google has a new feature to its latest chromium build to identify tabs that are playing audio. SO now you will get small visual indicator in the latest Chromium and Canary test builds for Chrome, giving it a decent shot of reaching the masses in a regular Chrome release.
New feature is identified by François Beaufort, who notes it was designed to help safeguard active tabs from being trashed when system memory runs out. If we conclude it in other words than it means browser is becoming smarter; it won’t shut down the tabs that are actively in use.
It will be big respite for those guys who usaually opens bunch of tabs at once. Now you can get the tabs easily which are playing music and now you can catch them easily. Aklso checkout the video below showing Indicator in action:
