In this latest tweet, the company’s owner announced that it intends to roll out an Android 13-based Nothing OS beta update for the Nothing Phone (1) by the end of the year. This confirms that the device will hit the stable Android 13 milestone by early 2023. Here is the official tweet:
While we are working around the clock, we won't rush on updates at the expense of user experience. This also applies to Nothing OS based on Android 13 where we aim to ship a beta version by the end of the year, with a full release in early 2023.

Further, he added that the company “won’t rush on updates at the expense of user experience.” Considering the statement and the bugs that come pre-loaded with Android 13, the slow updating speed seems fine. Although we did expect the new brand to be fierce with Android updates.
In addition to this, another tweet by the CEO said that the brand is “looking to create some fun and interesting software experiences.” With all these teasers, it will be interesting to see the modifications with the upcoming Nothing OS.
Yeah, we're definitely looking to create some fun and interesting software experiences.
