Google released a total of three editions of Android Nougat (7.0/7.1.1/7.1.2). Of course, the reason being all those bugs camouflaged under core OS. Similarly, it seems, we could be lucky enough to see further edition of the latest Android 8.0 Oreo also. Cause being the Bluetooth issue reports coming from the various Nexus and Pixel users. Who had updated their smartphones with the latest stable build of Android Oreo released 2-3 days ago.
Since, bluetooth is currently the preferred connectivity option for IoT applications. Android Oreo users are experiencing trouble when paired with headphones, bluetooth speakers or with the Car/Auto.
Nexus and Pixel users had expressed their frustrations on Nexus/Pixel help forum. As a result of it Google has requested the users to share the detailed description of the issue they face. One of the product expert at Google responded to the query as follows:
Hey All, Some of you have been reporting Bluetooth issues after accepting the latest OTA update, Android 8.0 Oreo. We’d like to get some additional information so we can look into this more.

Common problems faced by the users when they paired their smartphone with bluetooth accessories includes:
- Media content not displaying correctly in case of Android auto
- Audio cuts out briefly every 5-20 seconds when paired with bluetooth headset/headphone.
- Bluetooth switching off almost as soon as it’s turned on (which the user also experienced in Nougat)
Android lovers who were expecting a better and error-free Android Oreo might be hit with the news. However, let us hope positively that Google may find a fix for this soon. Much much Before the Oreo starts rolling out to many devices.
