Bank Of America Uses Fingerprint Sign In After Latest Update to Android App

Bank of America has issued a new update to its Android App. Bank of America Android app has provided customers with the new feature of signing in with fingerprint. Now user can sign in to the bank account with their fingerprint scan. They don’t need to enter the login credentials to access their bank account.

This has been made possible with an Android Marshmallow API which gives third party apps access to the fingerprint scanner’s functionality. This is the first bank we’ve seen take advantage of the API.

If you can’t trust it yet, then second option of manually signing is also present, the choice is yours. Well, Bank of America is the first bank in the world who have used the fingerprint API in its app.
