ASUS has introduced a Verizon exclusive handset called ASUS ZenFone V that is a LTE-only handset. The new phone does not support CDMA and comes with premium specs and hardware construction. The ZenFone V sports a metal body with the front plastered by Corning Gorilla Glass and the back sporting a single rear shooter. The handset supports USB Type-C and nano-SIM cards plus a microSD card.
Inside the metal chassis, the Snapdragon 820 is the brains of the device augmented by the Adreno 530 GPU. This is further helped by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which is expandable. The smartphone has a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and something called Tru2Life tech for better outdoor visibility. The phone comes with Android 7.0 Nougat (with ZenUI 3.0) out of the box and packs in a 3,000 mAh battery.
Talking about the optics, the ASUS ZenFone V has a single 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 sensor while the front has a 8 MP sensor with PDAF and OIS. There is no word on the pricing of the phone but it should be available soon.
