Asus introduced the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate on 13th April 2023 in India. Asus ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 165Hz screen refresh rates. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the ROG Phone 7 line of smartphones, which have features designed with gamers in mind, such as the GameCool 7 cooling system. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate has 16GB of RAM, compared to the ROG Phone 7’s 12GB.
Both ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate device bundles a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. The triple back camera arrangement on both phones consists of a 50MP Sony IMX766, a 13MP, and an 8MP macro sensor. On the front, they have a 32MP selfie camera. The ROG and Zen UIs based on Android 13 are available on both phones. Two OS upgrades and four years of security updates are promised by the manufacturer.

- [November 2, 2023]: Asus rolls out a new update with 33.0820.0810.232 software version for both ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. The OTA update brings optimization and stability to the system.
- [November 1, 2023]: Asus announces the Android 14 Beta program for ROG Phone 7 users. To sign up for the Beta program, Go to [Settings] > [System] > [System update] and click the gear icon at the top-right corner. Click “Enroll in Android Preview Program” in Settings.

The update is being released in stages, as is customary, so initially, it will only affect a small subset of people. Everyone will receive updates from the build in a week. Alternatively, you may manually search for updates by visiting Settings > Software updates.
