Asus is planning to extend the ROG Phone 6 lineup. The Asus ROG Phone 6D and Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate are in the works. The company officially announced the launch of the duo worldwide on September 19. Ahead of the unveiling, the ROG Phone 6D has made an appearance on the Wi-Fi Alliance website with model number ASUS_AI2203. Here is what we know about the upcoming device so far.

Apart from the model number, the Wi-Fi Alliance website reveals a few details, including the operating system and the connectivity options onboard. The Asus ROG Phone 6D will run Android 12 out of the box. It will support a 5G network. Also, the device will support 2.4GHz, 5.0 GHz, and 6 GHz Wi-Fi frequency bands. However, the Bluetooth standard remains unknown.
In addition, the company has confirmed that the upcoming duo will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC. Reportedly, the phones are similar to the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro, except for the processor. The ‘D’ in the name stands for Dimensity. While the specifications are likely to be similar to the Snapdragon variants.
With that saying, the new gaming-oriented smartphones will be identical to the previous models in terms of design and specifications. To recall, the Asus ROG Phone 6D was spotted on some major websites recently, including AnTuTu, 3C certification, and China RoHS Compliance Mark page.
