Asus has finally started pushing the new Android 11 update for its 2020 gaming smartphone, i.e., the Asus Rog Phone 3. The device was running on Android 10 out of the box on top of ROG UI. Currently, the update is rolling out for the devices with the model number ZS661KS. The updates come with the build number 18.0410.2106.138 and are currently rolling out for the Japan variant. Earlier, the update was made available for European, Russian, and other global variants. Also, it comes with a ton of new features and redesigned UI based on the latest ZenUI. They have also confirmed that the performance has improved with the update.

The updates include the standard Android 11 features like new features to the media control, and Bluetooth will not turn off while turning on Airplane mode. You can set choose one-time permissions now and turn on silent notifications. The new updates remove the feedback option and one-hand mode from the ROG UI menu. Asus has also bumped up the security patch to June 2021. They also have updated the default Asus apps to the latest version.
Asus has informed us that the update is currently pushing via FOTA (Firmware Over the Air) for its Rog 3. The update is pushing based on their serial number and as batches. It may take some time to reach your Rog Phone 3. Make sure to check for updates; for this, head to Settings. Then to System and tap on About Phone and check if the update is available on your device. Even though your data will not be erased, to install it safely, Asus asks to take a backup of your data. Download and copy the update file to the root storage of your device. Now restart your smartphone, and then you will be greeted with a message which says System Update detected. Tap on the same notification to update your Asus smartphone.
