In a launch event, Asus has finally unveiled its ZenFone 4 series of smartphones. The new lineup includes ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Max, ZenFone 4 Max Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro. With its new portfolio down the line, Asus has a lot to offer in almost every segment, whether it be camera performance, super large battery and much more.
So let’s check out some major specs and features of Zenfone 4 series.
ASUS Zenfone 4
Asus ZenFone 4 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display. The smartphone is powered by the latest and efficient mid-tier Snapdragon 660 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone boasts a dual camera setup with 12MP+8MP sensors at the back with an 8MP front-facing snapper. It packs a 3,300mAh battery with support for fast charging. The smartphone will be available in three color variants namely, Moonlight White, Mint Green and Midnight Black.
ASUS Zenfone 4 Pro
ZenFone 4 Pro is company’s latest flagship device that comes with all top-notch specifications. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM. You have an option to choose either 64GB or 128GB of storage capacity.
Just like the Zenfone 4, it also comes with dual cameras on the back. The handset offers a combination of 12 megapixel and 16 megapixel dual sensors with 8 megapixel selfie camera. The flagship device comes with a larger 3,600mAh battery with fast charging. It will be available in Moonlight White and Pure Black color variants.
ASUS Zenfone 4 Max
Zenfone 4 Max sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 or 430 processor. The device may release with three variants including 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. In the camera segment, the smartphone offers dual cameras featuring 13MP+5MP sensors and an 8MP front camera to click selfies.
As the name suggests, the main highlight of the device is its 5,000mAh large battery that offers extended hours of battery life. Zenfone 4 Max will be available in Deep Sea Black, Sunlight Gold and Rose Pink colors.
ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Pro
ZenFone 4 Max Pro is basically the same device as ZenFone 4 Max, however, the only notable difference lies in the cameras and storage capacity segment. It comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display and is powered either by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 or 430 processor. The device comes in two variants with 2GB/3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage. The ZenFone 4 Max Pro boasts a single 16MP primary camera with 16MP front-facing camera.
ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie
ZenFone 4 Selfie features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage. The device packs a 3,000mAh battery that easily offers full day usage.
In the camera segment, the smartphone houses a 16MP rear camera with an astounding 20MP + 8MP dual cameras at the front. The smartphone’s highlight is its front-facing camera that captures great selfies. It will be available in four color variants – Deep Sea Black, Mint Green, Rose Pink and Sunlight Gold.
ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro
ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is a selfie-flagship from the company. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
The handset comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera to capture great photos. However,
the smartphone’s highlight feature is its front-facing dual cameras with 24MP + 5MP sensors that offer exceptional selfies.
All Zenfone 4 series smartphones run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with company’s ZenUI skin at the top.
Pricing and Availability
In the launch event, Asus announced that ZenFone 4 will cost $399 with Pro variant priced at $599. Further, the Zenfone 4 Selfie and Selfie Pro variants will be priced starting at $279 and $379, respectively. However, the company did not disclose the price of the Max models.
The company has not yet revealed the launch date of Zenfone 4 series. However, the company did indicate that the smartphones will be initially launched in the Asian markets followed by other western countries.
