After CES today we are hearing news about Eee Pad MeMo M171 as its benchmarked and available for purchase in Taiwan for NT$17,500 (about $592) . Hardware wise the Asus Eee Pad MeMo M171 features a dual core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, plus 16GB of built in storage and dual cameras, with a 1.2 megapixel camera up front and a 5 megapixel camera on the back, plus a 7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

We’re not quite sure if ASUS will follow through with their plans to make the device available all over, but let’s hope if they do, they can switch out the aged S3 processor for one of Qualcomm’s fancy new S4′s. The tablet which is currently running Honeycomb but is promised to be upgraded to Android 4.0.
