Archos GamePad Unveiled With Android 4.0

Archos is now live in gaming tablet competition as they unveiled today Archos GamePad. It look like PSP than any traditional Android tablet. To make it better for games Archos introduced it with physical control buttons together with analog sticks and automatic game recognition and mapping tools. ARCHOS Founder and CEO says:

Thanks to the mapping and automatic game recognition systems included on the GamePad, we already have over a thousand android games compatible with the ARCHOS GamePad’s physical controls, including back catalog titles that originally didn’t include physical controls.

Archos GamePad features:

  • Dual-core 1.5 GHz processor
  • Mali 400MP quad-core GPU
  • 7-inch capacitive display,
  • 8GB of internal storage
  • microSD card slot (up to 64GB)
  • WiFi
  • Mini-HDMI connectivity
  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

According to Archos it will cost around €150 ($188) within Europe. It will bring support for 1,000 of the more advanced Android games. The Archos GamePad is scheduled late October release
