Apple Opens First 2012 Fire Upon Samsung, Seeking Ban on Ten Devices in Germany

It’s 2012 but don’t expect some companies to change just because numbers on a calendar do. href=”http://www.apple.com/” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”Apple”>Apple’s gone back to the courts of Germany to sue href=”http://www.samsung.com/” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”Samsung Group”>Samsung, this time seeking a ban on 10 different devices including the Samsung Galaxy S II and the Samsung Galaxy S Plus. The lawsuits pertain to hardware design issues so these cases will have a lot more grey area than their software patent spats. If history really does repeat itself Apple will have a tough time getting courts to rule in their favor on the notion that Samsung is ripping them in the design department. Reload on your popcorn and soft drinks – this’ll be a long one. [via Bloomberg]
