Oh My God! Apple has added two new devices to its Patent Infringing devices list. As according to report from Bloomberg Apple is now going after the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and Google’s latest Android operating system – Jelly Bean.
On October 1st, the Korean manufacturer, Samsung added iPhone 5 in patent suit it faces in San Jose against Apple. So Today Apple told U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul S. Grewal in a federal court in San Jose that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 has infringed Apple’s patent. It also added Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to an existing lawsuit in California. Here are wording’s from Bloomberg:
Apple Inc. (AAPL) told a judge that Samsung Electronics Co. (005930)’s Galaxy Note 10.1 device infringes its patents, and sought to add the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system to an existing lawsuit against Samsung in California.
Apple made the arguments today to U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul S. Grewal in federal court in San Jose. Apple’s bid to expand the lawsuit follows Samsung’s Oct. 1 move to add patent- infringement claims against the iPhone 5 in the same case.
Later Samsung lawyer Victoria Maroulis says that Samsung is strongly opposing Apple’s intention of including 17 devices supporting stylus input. “By adding the stylus, Apple is going to enlarge the case significantly.”
Judge Grewal wasn’t quick to issue a ruling just yet, scheduling the trial for a 2014 date.
