We have started the countdown to the official Mi MIX 2 launch to take place a day ahead of the iPhone 8 launch. To this date, credible rumors have all but confirmed the design of the beauty from China. Today we have just one more image that concurs to the past leaks.
If you haven’t been following, we have had a good look of the Mi MIX 2 in a concept video by Philippe Starck and numerous other renders of the phone. Today’s image just seals the deal. There isn’t anything new in it. We do see the newly launched MIUI 9 running on it. Also, the phone will boast the latest Snapdragon 835 (confirmed by Qualcomm) and Android 7.x.x out of the box.
The 6.4-inch/6.2-inch screen is where all the magic is. Xiaomi will most probably go all out and fit in a Quad HD display with 1:2 aspect ratio. The newly trimmed bezels will make for an astounding 93% body to screen ratio.
The cameras will also be a dual setup and the phone itself will have two variants. One of them with 6 GB of RAM, the other with 8 GB of RAM. Moreover, storage options will be 128 GB/256 GB. The handset is set to launch on September 11. It is still not clear whether the new iteration will be sold outside of China or not.
