Google has officially announced the Android Wear – a perfectly architectured operating system for Wearables. Today after the Android L and its rocking features of Project Volta, Material Design, new Security measures and Android One programme, Google introduced Android Wear.
Android Wear is a new platform that extends the company’s leading software to the body starting with the wrist in the form of smartwatches. Additionally, Android Wear was rumored to be launched with LG G watch, Moto 360 and Samsung Gear Live and it went right or true. Smae thing happened today at the keynote, Google announced the Android Wear along with all the three smartwatches.
Android Wear is intended to provide “information that moves with you” and puts the entire world inches from your suddenly-free fingertips. Here are features that are embedded in the Android Wear:
Vibrating notifications – when notifications are received by the user’s smartphone they can be set to make the watch vibrate on the user’s wrist.
Voice commands – Saying “OK Google” prepares the device to take an instruction – similar to the way its Glass eyewear functions.
Android Wear rely on Google Now card system – so you can scroll up and down easily and can perform all the features or commands of Google Now with more power.
LG G Watch costs $229 (£145) – To Be available in the US, UK, France, Germany and Japan.
Samsung Gear Live would cost $200 (£118).
Moto 360 – might cost $250
