Android One Program Cruises To Egypt, Ghana, The Ivory Coast, Kenya, Morocco, And Nigeria

Google’s program to connect the next Billion to the internet, Android One program has got extended to few other countries. Already it is active in India, Philippines and few other developing nations.

Google is introducing a new phone, Infinix Hot 2 in 6 African countries. It will cost N17,500 (about $88) starting today, after which it will expand into more countries: Egypt, Ghana, The Ivory Coast, Kenya, and Morocco.

Infinix worked with Google on the “Hot 2” phone as part of a program called Android One that made its debut in India last year.

Infinix Hot 2 is powered with a quad-core MediaTek processor and 1GB of RAM. It’s available in black, white, red blue and gold colors (with gold featuring 2GB of RAM). It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

It seems that Google is getting manufacturers in different nations which can provide powerful resources at low cost.
