Couple of years ago it was in odd as at that time iOS was the best platform for App developers. But now the game has changed, Now Android is the favourite place for development for App developers.
Recently Vision Mobile has published a report showing  latest State of the Developer Nation. As according to the report, Android is the best platform of App developers with 70% developers targeting the Android. On the other hand, iOS is the at the second place with 51% of the development on it. Windows Phone pulls up a strong third place with 28% (and modern-style Windows 8 apps at 18%). 15% of developers are coding for the mobile web, and 11% for BlackBerry 10.
Here is the percentage of Android App development languages:
- Java: 58%
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript: 13%
- Visual App Builder: 10%
- C/C++: 7%
- C#: 4%
