Google has officially made launching announcement for the Android 8.0. Today, at 5 minutes event in New York, Google officially confirmed the name of Android 8.0 as Oreo. It is one of the tiniest event that Google hosted in recent years for the launch of any Android veresion.
Android 8.0 Oreo will be uploaded to AOSP (Android Open Source Project) by today itself.
Further, as of now, Google is testing the new ANdroid distro on Pixel and Nexus devices. The Google Pixel, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6P all are the first liners which are slated to get the update with Android 8.0 Oreo “soon”.
Google says these updates will begin rolling out in phases “soon,” along with updates for the Pixel C and Nexus Player.
The new version of the Android is slated to get some of the very new features. Those features will make Android much more useful and powerful in comparison to other OS environments.

We’ve also been working closely with our partners, and by the end of this year, hardware makers including Essential, General Mobile, HMD Global Home of Nokia Phones, Huawei, HTC, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp and Sony are scheduled to launch or upgrade devices to Android 8.0 Oreo.
