Well, a good news for those who have Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy Tab E. The good news is that T-Mobile has announced Android 8.0 Oreo update. It is a great step by T-mobile to roll out the latest Android update for affordable smartphones.
So for those who have these devices with this carrier soon will receive the update. T-mobile and Samsung together have collaborated to roll out the latest Android 8.0 update for these devices.
Galaxy J7 prime was launched in August 2016, with Android 6.0 and 5.5 inch display. The device had 3 GB RAM, was available in 2 variants 16 GB and 32 GB. On the other hand, Galaxy Tab E 8.0 was launched in January 2016. The device has 1.5 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. The device was available with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgradable to Android 7.1.
But the point is that we don’t know when these new updates will be available. As this a major update, it won’t be available so soon. As for now Samsung is concentrating on rolling out the update to it’s top line smartphones. Galaxy S8 and Note 8 are the ones which will receive the update soon.
