Amazon has finally announced next generation version of their last year release Paperwhite. The update brings in some improved features and improvising on some of the existing ones, rather than bringing in dramatic changes in the tablet.
Talking of the improvements that have been made in the Next Gen Kindle Paperwhite, the display has been made better. The e-Paper display has now more contrast, and also improved reflectivity so the text will look clearer. The company is also using the second generation backlighting that was put in the last year model, and it has been improved in this version.
Also the processor is 25% faster this time to ensure turning pages on books get more smoother, and also an improved touch with 19% more tight touch grid on it.
Also there many new features that have been introduced like Kindle Page Flip which lets you allows you to move back and forth between pages without losing your place in the book. Some other like Goodreads integration, Kindle FreeTime, Kindle Vocabulary Builder, Smart Lookup, new in-line footnotes and Kindle MatchBook. This next gen version is priced at $119 for the Wi-Fi model and $189 for the 3G model.
