Amazfit GTS 2 Mini update adds Amazon’s Alexa assistance feature

Amazfit GTS 2 mini was announced last year with fitness tracking features and Alexa support. However, voice assistance was missing. Finally, with the new update, Amazon’s Alexa has extended its support to Amazfit GTS 2 mini. Now you can give vocal instructions to the smartwatch-like play music, set alarms, ask for weather forecasts, traffic updates, sports updates, and much more.

Amazon Alexa update will be available on the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Canada, Germany, Austria, India, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil. The update is currently live in India with several new Alexa Support.

Alexa can converse with you in different languages such as American English, British English, Canadian English, Australian and Indian-accented English, German, Japanese, Canadian French, French, Italian, Spanish, Mexican Spanish, American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

How to install Amazon Alexa on Amazfit GTS 2?

  1. Open Zepp application after pairing smartwatch, then click on profile, select Amazfit GTS 2 mini.
  2. Now, update the system to version 1.0.2.31
  3. Swipe left on the watch home screen.
  4. Tap “Authorize Alexa on the device page of the app”
  5. Open Zepp application, click on profile, click on add accounts
  6. Click on “Amazon Alexa”
  7. Login with an Amazon account.

Amazon Alexa is available via OTA (over-the-air) update. Alternatively, you can open the Zepp App and click your smartwatch name in “My devices” under the “Profile” page, enter the device list page and click “System Update”, and then your Amazfit GTS 2 mini will be upgraded.

Amazfit GTS 2 mini

Amazfit GTS 2 mini features a 1.55-inch AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved glass on top for apps and other functions of the smartwatch. The body is made of plastic which weighs 19.5 Grams and packs an aluminium alloy case out of the box.

The smartwatch supports both Android and iOS and has features like Water Resistance, BioTracker 2 PPG optical sensor to deliver continuous heart rate, SpO2 sensor, and tracking of steps, sleep, cycling along with breathing exercise guidance. It packs a 22 mAh battery which lasts up to two weeks as claimed by the company.
