While only a few days are left for the CES 2018 to kick-off, it seems Acer has booked an exclusive event for introducing an upgraded Chromebook 11. As per a report, the new Acer ChromeBook 11 will be officially unwrapped at the venue of CES 2018.
Compared to the previous Chromebook 11 series from the house of Acer, the new Chromebook will be more portable and compact. It’s likely to flaunt a 11.6-inch display (1366 x 768 resolution). Built on lightweight design in focus, the new Chromebook 11 is of 2.43 pounds in weight and the thickness of mere 0.71 inches.
Interestingly, the new Chromebook 11 is an Android App-Ready Chromebook. That is, the Chrome OS booting device will possess a Google Play Store pre-installed out of the box. Hence, all most all Android apps are supported by this compact form of laptop.
Moreover, a dual-speaker, HDR support, Four USB(2 each of Type C & Type A(3.0)) ports, and an expandable storage support are featured by the Chromebook. For connectivity, it includes the support for 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.
Once officially launched, the new Chromebook 11 will be hitting shelves in two different variants. To be precise, a touch supporting display bearing CB311-8HT model, and another non-touch version which carries the model number CB311-8. The new Chromebook models can be of either 16GB or 32GB of storage with both models equipped with 4GB RAM. As far as its availability is on quest, the new Chromebook 11 is set to be launched initially in EMEA, most probably in coming March. The gadget is likely to be decently priced around €249.
