Launched 5 years ago, Snapchat is a popular AR Effects and messaging service used by Millions of people to make funny photos and more. Snapchat worked better on iOS since the launch, which makes Android users feel unhappy. Snapchat’s Team had promised to fix this issue with an update.

A beta update was rolled out in August 2018, fixing this issue, but people with root access could only install this making it difficult. The Company had allowed some of the users to try it, but it wasn’t available for all. The team has been working on this update for quite some time and had promised to roll out the official update by the end of 2019, but now it has been rolled out almost 6 months before the deadline.

If you notice carefully, you won’t find any changes in the UI of the app, it is almost the same as the old one. However, the improvements have been made in the code of this app. In a comparison video by XDA Developers below we can notice some improvements in the speed and UI of the app. Snapchat hasn’t shared any specific details about the app or even the changelog, so we don’t know what improvements are made under the hood of the app.
