If 2018 marked the dawn of notch-trend in smartphones, 2019 plausibly would be the year of hole-punch smartphones. So far, two of the key players – Samsung and Huawei are the only manufacturers to unveil the smartphones with a hole punched on to display. Obviously, it gonna soon change as other OEMs too gonna follow the bandwagon. Now it seems Motorola is the next to adopt this new display technology in their product. At least that’s what the new leak images of Motorola One Vision shed the light.
The newly leaked image of what could be the upcoming smartphones from Motorola, the Motorola One Vision features hole-punched display. Similarly what we see as Infinity-O display in Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. Most probably, the display should be an LCD rather than the AMOLED since Infinity-O AMOLED display gonna stay exclusive to Samsung for a while.
In case if you haven’t covered, the Motorola One Vision also known as the Motorola P40. It was spotted on Geekbench with Exynos 9610 SoC and Android 9.0 Pie recently. Yes, Motorola is going for a Samsung chipset this time around. The Exynos 9610 is a mid-range chipset based on 10nm FinFET process. It’s the same chipset which is powered by the recently launched Galaxy A50.

Moreover, courtesy to XDA Developers, Motorola One Vision carries the codename “Robusta2”. The Motorola One Vision will come with a 21:9 display having a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels. As it can be deduced from the ‘One Vision’ branding, the device will be an Android One smartphone with a stock version of Android Pie. Since it’s an Android One update, at least two major updates are written in its fate.
