For the past couple of years, Samsung Turkey handle has been providing us with rough roadmaps of the major updates for the Samsung devices. At present it’s the Android Pie update period, and Samsung Turkey has updated its Guncelmiyiz webpage showcasing the plausible ETA of the OneUI update for the couple of recent Samsung flagships.
As per Guncelmiyiz, the OneUI update for the next deserving candidate coming after the Galaxy S9/S9+, which is the mighty Galaxy Note9 is slated for January, 2019. In fact, it’s a month earlier than the date (February) mentioned on the roadmap posted over at Samsung members recently. May be Samsung is trying to make things little faster and push update for the devices asap.
Similarly, the OneUI update for the 2017 flagships – the Galaxy S8/S8+ and Note8 are too getting a month preponement, at least that’s what the source reveals. The Exynos 8895 powered devices will be blessed with the OneUI on February. Well, it’s to be seen how well Samsung can adhere to the ETA and make available the much awaited update for the aforementioned devices.
In case if you missed it, the OneUI is the Samsung version of Android Pie for its devices. It’s a major redesigned Samsung software with native, system-wide Night Theme and other tons of Samsung proprietary features on the top of Android Pie 9.0. Samsung has just recently begun the roll-out of OneUI with the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+. In coming days, we could see a lot more eligible devices getting the OneUI update.
