Google is rolling out a new update to Chromebooks via the new Chrome OS version. After rolling out Chrome 70 for desktop and Android earlier this month, now its time for Chrome OS. Today, Chrome OS has started receiving the Chrome OS 70 version with several new additions and changes. The new update has added several new fixes and performance improvements.
Importantly, Chrome OS 70 has added a new tablet-friendly UI with a menu, quick settings looking exactly like of Android. Other elements such as app shelf, settings bar, and many other things have got facelift. Moreover, they have added a new floating keyboard as like of Gboard. It will give users some more space and user can utilize in a more efficient manner.
It even supports handwriting and emoji input for 2-in1 setups. Though Google has tried to make it more productive by eliminating useless options from the UI and emphasizing more on the items that users use the most. Chrome OS 70 has also added Android app shortcuts which is a part of the same OS’s beta channel from past three months.
It packs all the changes that have recently appeared in the Chrome browser update on both desktop and Chrome browser. The update is rolling out to all the supported Chromebooks, you have to wait for some days as it may take some time.
