It appears, Xioami is quite busy with new launchings and device sales, but in the backend, they are also working on software development. Recently, after rolling out MIUI 10 update to almost all the major and compatible devices, now Xiaomi is shifting focus to Android 9.0 Pie update. Recently, Xiaomi Mi A1 running Android 9.0 Pie has been spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench.
As per the listing on the Geekbench, it appears that Xiaomi has started testing the Android 9.0 Pie for Xiaomi Mi A1. Currently, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is the only device running the latest Android 9.0 Pie. We expect, in the next batch of Android Pie updates, Xiaomi Mi A1 is surely going to get the Android Pie update.
Xiaomi has launched its successor, Xiaomi Mi A2 last month with some good specs at the initial price of Rs 16,999 in India. Well, it is quite surprising that Xiaomi Mi A2 is still running on Android 8.0 Oreo, while Mi A1 is seen running on Android 9.0 Pie.
There are plenty of new changes that Android 9.0 Pie carries such as dull-screen gestures, full-view display and much more. It also brings adaptive battery feature which utilizes the battery on the basis of usage patterns. It is an AI-based feature which helps phones to survive for some more time on a single charge.
