An unknown Xiaomi smartphone with model number M1807E8A has just made an appearance on the TENAA website. The smartphone rumored to be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 4 has passed the certification process in China. The images listed on the TENAA website reveals smartphone’s design and quite surprisingly, the back panel closely resembles the transparent back on Mi 8 Explorer Edition. It also exposes the vertical dual camera setup at rear side of the device.
While the TENAA listing does not include any specifications, it is highly anticipated that the smartphone could be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC. It is to note that Xiaomi has recently released Mi 8 SE with the same processor under its hood. It was also speculated that Xiaomi may release Mi Max 3 Pro variant with Snapdragon 710 SoC, however, the rumor was later discarded by the company.
In April this year, XDA Developers revealed that Xiaomi could soon release a device codenamed ‘Comet’. If rumors are to be believed, the forthcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 4 could be the same device and the specifications include Snapdragon 710 SoC, an OLED display with Always-On Display feature, a 3,100mAh battery, dual-SIM support, IR blaster, and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. However, the smartphone will lack features like NFC support and microSD card slot.
While there is no official statement on Xiaomi Mi Note 4 specifications and therefore, is best taken with a grain of salt. Also, there is no information on the availability and pricing of the device. We’ll keep you posted of any further updates regarding Xiaomi Mi Note 4 launch.
