Back in September 2017, HMD Global launched the 3G variant of the revived Nokia 3310. Later, it was speculated that the company might also bring a 4G variant. In countries like India where the 3G variant was not made available. But now, after almost three whole months, HMD Global unveils the Nokia 3310 4G powered by YunOS.
The new Nokia 3310 is the same device which was first unveiled at MWC 2018 but with 4G connectivity as well as different Operating System. The Nokia 3310 4G comes with 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of internal storage along with microSD card support. Further, it sports a 2.4 inch LCD display and 2MP camera with LED flash. Above all, it also supports VoLTE as well as WiFi hotspot which is not present in the Jio Phone by Reliance Jio.
As far as battery life is concerned, the Nokia 3310 4G gives you 12 days of standby time and 15 hours of talktime while on 2G network. Whereas talktime on VoLTE is only 5 hours because the device comes with a mere 1,200 mAh battery. However, FM Radio can be played for around 31 hours.
Though the device runs on YunOS, a fork of Android it does not come with app store as its not mentioned in the listing. Anyways, the Nokia 3310 4G will go for sale in China later next month. Also, there’s no mention of price as well as availability for international markets as of now.
