Leaks can be in any shape or form. Earlier, certain renders of cases and back covers for Galaxy S9 nearly shed light to its design or the build. Now, a new leak image of the purported Galaxy S9 retail box has emerged. Retail box image highlighted the specifications of the Samsung flagship. You can see the seemingly genuine looking retail box image below.
If you’ve gone through the box, will notice that almost all specs are either already rumored or we’re quite sure of it to be a part of the S9. But, the stereo speakers and variable aperture features listing in the box is a new revelation, though. And, hence add up the legitimacy rating of the image.
If the box came to be real, the Galaxy S9 will feature a “Super Speed” 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera with OIS. Not been a, it’s Dual Pixel and not the dual-camera setup which’s a current trend in smartphone cameras. The first ever Dual-Pixel rear-cam in Samsung phone ought to be the brand new 1.28-micrometer 12-megapixel ISOCELL Fast 2L9 sensor exclusively developed by Samsung boasting the Dual Pixel technology. The ISOCELL supports variable aperture, of f/1.5 and f/2.4 that changes in accordance with the external lighting condition.
The speakers will be more powerful and crispy in the Galaxy S9. The box reveals that the stereo-speakers will be finely tuned by AKG. In case if you don’t know, AKG Acoustics is a renowned sound engineering company currently owned by Samsung’s Harman Division. AKG tuned audio peripherals are known for their professional and uncompetitive sound emanation.
Apart from the above unheard or not so prominent before features, the box also contains the description – Super Slow-mo. That means, the Galaxy S9 may support 1000fps slow motion videos. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the one that supports it currently in the market.
The other specifications present on box, literally strengthens the previous rumors. That includes, a Super AMOLED panel of Quad HD+ resolution. Adequate 4GB of RAM, and internal storage of 64 Gigs. The selfie camera is of 8 MP with Auto-Focus and the Live Focus feature might be present as well.
Similar to the yeasteryear’s Samsung flagships, the Galaxy S9 supports wireless charging and the box will contain AKG tuned earphones. The Galaxy S9 along with its larger sibling, the Galaxy S9+ will be out to the world on the eve of MWC 2018.
