Google announced a number of products at their October 4th ‘MadeByGoogle’ event. This also includes the new Pixel Buds, a bluetooth earphone with Google Assistant built-in. The pre-orders for this product started on the day of its announcement itself. Finally now Google starts shipping Pixel Buds from the Google Store.
Though Google Pixel Buds are bluetooth based, they are not completely wireless. Because both the earpieces are connected by a wire with an adjustable loop to fit in your ears. The stand-out feature of this product is the real time translation. But, it only works on the Pixel smartphones and supports only 40 languages for now. As for design, the earbuds are circular in shape and the right bud also has a touch sensitive button for controls.
The Pixel Buds are backed by a 620 mAh battery which is baked into its case. According to Google, it will provide you a 24 hours of listening time on a single charge. This new earphones from Google come in three colors which include Clearly White, Kinda Blue and Just Black. The Pixel Buds are supported by any Android device running Marshmallow or above and also it supports Apple iPhones running on iOS 10 or higher. Finally, it is priced at $149.
