Moto X lineup used to be the flagship series for Motorola till 2015. Under Lenovo’s leadership escaped Moto X line in favor of its new modular Z series. This year, however, Motorola seems all set to revive its Moto X series with the launch of Moto X4 as an upper-midrange device.
Lately, Moto X4 has been spotted on POSTEL website, the Indonesian certification agency. It is most likely that the device is soon to be launched in Indonesia followed by other Asian countries like India and Malaysia.
Recent series of rumors indicate that the Moto X4 will feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display. The device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 630 chipset. The smartphone is set to be released with two variants, 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 3GB RAM/64 GB storage.
Moto X4 will be Motorola’s first device to sport dual rear cameras (12MP + 8MP) and 16MP front-facing camera. The smartphone packs a 3,000 mAh battery and runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box.
Some previous reports claim that the upcoming Moto X4 will be the first non-Google device to support Project Fi. The device is also rumored to be water and dust resistant with an IP68 rating.
