Huawei’s follow-up of the Huawei Band this year are now listed on the company’s official website for international sale. The Huawei Band 2 and Band 2 Pro were launched with the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus this year.
Obviously the Band 2 Pro is the more premium of the two wearables. Although both the bands have different specs, they offer the same fitness-related features. The 2 bands can measure heartbeat, pace, distance, speed, and direction. Both the wearables also have continuous heart rate monitoring. A new feature called Training Effect feature observes fatigue levels after workout sessions and measures recovery times. Both the devices are water resistant up to 5 meters.
The Band 2 Pro has some exclusive features like GPS tracking, Huawei’s TruSleep virtual sleep hygiene and breathing tracker, and Huawei’s Running Coach. A special VO2 Max feature allows the band to track oxygen intake and distribution efficiency with 95% accuracy.
Of course, Bluetooth pairing will allow the bands to relay smartphone notifications on to your wrist and Huawei has an app for that on the Play Store.
International prices of both the products were not disclosed. But on launch the Huawei Band 2 Pro had a 388 Yuan (around $57) price and the Huawei Band 2 had a 298 Yuan (~$44) price.
