Xiaomi has been rolling out and ANdroid 7.0 Nougat update to the Mi Max devices in few countries. The update is available via Over The Air, so it may take some time to reach you.
The update has started to appearing on the devices with models with 3GB of RAM. Currently, we are not sure, whether they are rolling out the same update to Mi Max 4 GB variant or not.
The new update brings in the global MIUI 8.5.1.0 stable version. Recently, it has received the successor with the name of Xiaomi Mi Max 2. It is a significant update with major changes in processor, camera and RAM size.
The new software update packs some optimisations, you can use search to find time zone. It has brought in new CPU strategy for scheduling the processor in much efficient manner. There are many other changes.
