After witnessing stagnating fortunes in the tablet industry, tablet manufacturer Archos is stepping in the smartphone market with a portfolio of 4 devices.
So there is the Diamond Alpha, the Archos Diamond Gamma, the Archos Sense 55x and Archos Sense 50X
Archos Diamond Alpha
The Diamond Alpha is the omega of the bunch. It is just a rebranded Nubia Z17 mini phone made by Nubia. It showcases a 5.2-inch display in a metal body. The Snapdragon 652 chip occupies the chassis along with 4 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of storage. The Archos Diamond Alpha has two 13MP cameras at the back. On the front, sits a 16MP camera with support for 4K. The Diamond Alpha is priced at €299.
Archos Diamond Gamma
Next up is the Diamond Gamma, which has a bigger 5.5-inch 720p display, The phone rocks a Snapdragon 435 processor,3GB of RAM and 32 gigs of storage. It is equipped with a 13MP primary camera and a 5-megapixelselfie camera. The battery is of 3,000 mAh capacity.
Archos Sense 55S
Third on the list is the Archos Sense 55S. And no, we are not making these names up. The device is Mi Mix look alike having a 5.5-inch HD display that covers 78% of the screen. It has just 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It retains a dual camera though, which has 2 8MP sensors. It also has a fingerprint sensor at the back. Android Nougat runs the show in tandem with a 3,000 mAh battery. The device will cost you €249.
Archos Sense 50X
And we’ve saved the toughest for the last. The Archos Sense 50X is a durable rugged body phone. It comes with waterproofing. The specs aren’t that strong though. The processor is just a quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6737T packed with 3 gigs of RAM. It has a smaller 5.0-inch HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and 32 gigs of storage. Again the battery capacity is the same at 3,000 mAh. It costs €169.
All four models run on Android Nougat and will start selling in Europe during July
