We started hearing about the Snapdragon 836 at the beginning of this month. Some rumors emerging from the eternal rumor mill, Weibo, hinted the new SoC from Qualcomm was under development. We also heard some time earlier that the improved chip will release in the second half of this year from some sources.
Now a new leak is hinting that the Snapdragon 836 might find its first home in the chassis of the upcoming Samsung Flagship Galaxy Note 8. The Galaxy Note 8 has a fair amount of time to go before it launches but we are seeing some rumors starting to guess the specs and design of the device. Earlier leaks point to a 6.3-inch Infinity Display. Of course, a dual camera is much talked about. And we have seen renders of the alleged Galaxy Note 8 with the dual camera earlier
It seems quite possible that Qualcomm could unveil an incremental upgrade to the successful SD 835. As it did with the SD 820. The Snapdragon 836 will be built on the 10nm FinFET process and also receive some performance tweaks, says the source. SD 836 is assumed to be clocked at 2.5 GHz and a 740MHz GPU will also be seen.
