Earlier this year, HMD Global, the Finnish company, that has licensed Nokia’s brand and is now making smartphones under the company’s iconic brand, announced its first Nokia-branded phone– the Nokia 6. The phone was then exclusively launched in China. Well, at MWC 2017, it was announced that the Nokia 6 will be going global.
Just like any other part of the world, Nokia fans have been waiting for the new handset to arrive in the United States. As the phone’s release date approaches, the handset has received the customary certification from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Since the smartphone has already been released in several other markets globally, so we know what it has to offer. The Nokia 6 has a 5.5 inch full HD display, features a 16 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8 megapixel front camera. It is powered by Snapdragon 430 processor and packs 3GB of RAM, an Adreno 505 GPU as well as 32GB of internal storage. IT packs 3,000mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. The handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
It’s unclear how much the Nokia 6 is going to cost when it’s released in the United States. Now that it has received the FCC certification, hopefully, it shouldn’t take that long for it to be launched in the country.
