LG G4 and LG V10 are almost 2 years old phones. Still company announced that both the phones will get Android 7.0 Nougat update. LG G4 will get the update in Q3 of 2017, LG V10 will get the update in Q2 of 2017.
Although the phone is powered with Snapdragon 808 processor which is not optimized for Android Nougat. But company has decided to offer the latest Android OS for the V10 and G4 users, so it is a very good news for them.
“We plan to offer the upgrade of the operating system with Android 7.0 for the V10 in the second half of this year and for the G4 in the third quarter,” the chaebol said in a statement.
For a reminder LG G4 is embedded with 5.5 inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 808 processor and 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, microSD card slot, 16 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front camera as well as 3,000mAh battery. Software wise it runs on Android 5.1 atop LG’s UX 4.0.
Coming to LG V10, It includes Snapdragon 808 processor, 5.7-inch Quad HD display, 4GB of RAM, and a 3,000 mAh battery pack. The Phone runs on Android v5.1 Lollipop out of the box, but it is upgradable to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is packed with 16 Megapixel Camera with f/1.8 and HDR + 5 Megapixel Duo Front Camera with f/2.2. The main Highlight of the LG V10 is the Dual Display.
