In January 2017, Asus has launched their device Asus Zenfone AR in the market. The phone is available in Black colour variant. It is the first Tango-enabled as well as Daydream ready device. Its expected price at Rs. 39,999.
The Asus Zenfone AR comes with 5.7 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display. It has display resolution is 1440 x 2560 pixels at a pixel density of 515 ppi. It measures 158.7 x 77.7 x 9 mm with a weight of 170 g (6.00 oz). The screen is shielded with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
The Asus Zenfone AR runs on the Android OS, v7.0 (Nougat) based on ASUS ZenUI 3.0. It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 chipset and Quad-core (2×2.35 GHz Kryo & 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) processor. It has a support of Adreno 530 GPU. The device comes with 4/8 GB of RAM. It packs a 32/64/128/256 GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256 GB via MicroSD card slot.
The Asus Zenfone AR consists of Li-Ion 3300 mAh capacity with a Non-removable battery. It has a feature of Fast battery charging (Quick Charge 3.0). It packs a 23 MP primary camera and a 8 MP secondary camera. The primary camera is capable of 2160p@30fps video recording. It includes geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, OIS (4-axis), 3x optical zoom, phase detection autofocus, depth & motion tracking sensors.
