Facebook Messenger gets the Paypal Support to send or Receive Money. Facebook Messenger currently supports mobile payments using debit cards. Now a select number of users in the US (at-least) can link their PayPal and Messenger accounts. Moreover the notifications of the transactions are also delivered within the Messenger app.
Facebook is trying to expand its Messenger app beyond just a messaging app. With the paypal support relationship building will be more easier for merchants. Although the feature Available only to some users in the U.S. initially. With the large PayPal user base accommodating 192 million active PayPal accounts around the world. This will potentially open the payment platform to up to 1 billion Facebook Messenger users.
However, there is no word on the availability of this feature in some other region of world except United States.
