YouTube has formed some new means of giving ad in 6 Seconds slot. They have developed a Bumper ad which will be non skipable and will be of le6 Seconds. So get ready for some must watch ads while watching the YouTube videos.
It’s only 1 second more than present must watch ads and when the Skip button appears. It can be termed as one second as per calculations, but while watching a video that 1 seconds seems like 5 minutes. Isn’t it true?
It’s bad for users, but good for Google and its advertisers who give ads via Google Adwords to promote their stuff. Atlantic Records tested the new ad format to promote the second album of a band called Rudimental. The six second spots allowed the label to promote the number of guest stars that appear on the album.
Google also quoted on it and said, “Recent research has shown that half of 18-49 year olds turn to their mobile device first to watch video. Even in the living room, many people prefer to watch on their smartphone – for the control, personalization and ease it offers. And as viewing habits change, we are working to introduce new formats adapted to these habits. That’s why today we’re announcing Bumper ads – a new six-second video format, sold through the AdWords auction on a CPM basis. Bumper ads are ideal for driving incremental reach and frequency, especially on mobile, where “snackable videos” perform well.”-Google
