Huawei is rolling out Android Lollipop to its flagship device, Ascend P7. Google is rolling Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Nexus devices while Huawei is rolling Lollipop to users.
Huawei is rolling Android 5.1.1 which is the perversion of the latest pre-Marshmallow version of the OS. So can we expect Android 6.0 Update to Ascend P7? Well, Huawei was testing the beta version of the update since June of this year. Finally, the update came out of beta and is now being delivered to Ascend P7 device.
Technically, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is quite hefty of around 1.2 GB. So we recommend to shift to WiFi network while downloading the update.
Update contains all the features of Android 5.0 and fixes of Android 5.1 along with Huawei’s own software customizations.
