Google IO 2014 is to take off just few hours from now and we have got some confirmed news regarding the Next Android version which was confirmed yesterday by Sundar Pichai at Bloomberg. The New version, Android 5.0 will be named Lollipop as confirmed by ‘reliable sources’ speaking Bulgarian tech insider Nixanbal.
Google is following its trend of naming new versions of Android alphabetically and naming it with any eatable. So now also its time for ‘L’ as Kitkat was launched last year. Here’s full list of Android versions along with its names:
- Android 4.4 Kitkat
- Android 4.1-4.3 Jelly Bean
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- Android 3.0 Honeycomb
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- Android 2.2 Froyo
- Android 2.0-2.1 Eclair
- Android 1.6 Doughnut
- Android 1.5 Cupcake
Well, it seems that Google has packed many things for today along with the announcement or preview of the latest Android version, Lollipop.
