Taiwan is the first country to have gotten a taste of Sony Xperia Z2a but we could not get our hands on the specs-list of the device. Thanks to GSM Arena, we do now. We now have all the specs of the device with us in detail.
The device, which was launched a week ago in Taiwan could be vaguely described as a compact version of the Xperia Z2. The display screen gets smaller by .2″ and the powerhouse too gets cut by 200 mAh. A plastic back also features on the Z2a. Other that that, this device is pretty much the same as the Xperia Z2.
The device boasts of a 5″ IPS display screen that offers a resolution of 1080p. A 20.7 MP auto-focus shutter on the back with flash, a VGA camera on the front and a 3000 mAh powerhouse are being offered on the Xperia Z2a. Going inside the hood, you’ll find a Snapdragon 801 chipset with a Quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz along with 3 GB of RAM. The device operates on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and like the Xperia Z2, the Z2a too is dust and water resistant. The device will hit stores across Taiwan next month.
