The much awaited version of Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S5 LTE-A has been made official in South Korea. The phone comes with better connectivity, a higher-resolution screen and faster processors.
The S5 LTE-A, which seems to be the S5 Prime offers the LTE-A which offers speeds upto 225 mbps making it about three times faster than the standard LTE. But thats not the main reason this device was so talked about. The S5 LTE-A is the first device to boast of the Snapdragon 805 SoC. The Snapdragon 805 comes with 4 Krait 450 CPU cores clocked at 2.5 GHz along with 3 GB of RAM. Thats not all. The device comes with a revamped 5.1″ super AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 2560×1440. The Korean smartphone manufacturer claims the display to have a 0.01 ms response time and a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 which is very impressive. The device comes with a 32 GB storage memory that can be expanded upto 128 GB via a microSD card. All other features remain the same as on the Galaxy S5 LTE variant.
The device will be available in South Korea for 940,500 South Korean Won which is about $920. It will be available in Charcoal Black, Shimmer White, Electric Blue, Copper Gold, Sweet Pink and Glam Red color options and will be made available through SKT, KT and LGU+.
