Asus Philippines has launched the renewed version FonePad 7, this time a bit thinner and lighter than its previous version. The new version comes with the model number FE170CG.
The tablet has a WSVGA display, 4GB internal memory and 2MP camera which is somewhat inferior than the the previous version which had a WXGA display, 8GB internal memory and a 5MP autofocus camera on its back. A front camera is absent in both the models. Rest everything, including the processor and hardware is pretty much the same. As  reminder, the FonePad 7 runs on Android Jellybean 4.2 upgradable to 4.3. Under the hood, the device has a Dual-core CPU clocked at 1.6GHz. To power the device, a non-removable Li-Po 3950 mAh battery is available in the device.
This redesigned variant of the FonePad 7 has been launched in Philippines for a price of PHP 5995 that translates to $137.
