Motorola has revealed the details of Moto X8 System which is already employed in Motorola’s new devices Droid Ultra, Droid Mini and Droid Ma . Despite, Moto X8 system, we here are reminding you that we just 24 hours behind the official launch of the Moto X at an event in New York on 1st August.
Today talking to PC Mag, Motorola’s SVP for engineering, Iqbal Arshad described this new Moto X8 system aka What is Moto X8 System and all its unique functions.
Iqbal Arshad, Motorola’s senior vice president of engineering said, “If you look at the X8 mobile computing system, it has a cluster of processors and then some separate elements of the system,” In real they want to save power by reduce power usage without impacting performance needs to CPU which they call “intelligent, probabilistic computing.”
Motorola X8 is more than just a processor, more than just a system-on-a-chip. In new Moto X to achieve these high performance and lower power usage goal, Motorola paired a “regular” dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC clocked at 1.7GHz and optimized it at a firmware level.
According to Arshad:
We’ve done additional optimizations on top of that such as optimizing the entire Linux user space to move it to an ARM instruction set, cache optimization, Dalvik just-in-time optimization, and we’ve changed the file system {…} It’s full hardware-software integration to deliver best-in-class performance.
He further said that the X8 outperforms competitors in battery rundown benchmarks, while delivering superior frame rates.
