href=”http://www.att.com/” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”AT&T”>AT&T has had its fair share of setbacks lately, but the mobile carrier is pushing forward, announcing today that its new LTE network has gone live in 11 additional markets. href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=34.05,-118.25&spn=0.1,0.1&q=34.05,-118.25%20(Los%20Angeles)&t=h” rel=”geolocation” target=”_blank” title=”Los Angeles”>Los Angeles, href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=32.715,-117.1625&spn=0.1,0.1&q=32.715,-117.1625%20(San%20Diego)&t=h” rel=”geolocation” target=”_blank” title=”San Diego”>San Diego, and href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=37.7793,-122.4192&spn=0.1,0.1&q=37.7793,-122.4192%20(San%20Francisco)&t=h” rel=”geolocation” target=”_blank” title=”San Francisco”>San Francisco are among the new areas. The carrier also lists href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=40.7166666667,-74.0&spn=0.1,0.1&q=40.7166666667,-74.0%20(New%20York%20City)&t=h” rel=”geolocation” target=”_blank” title=”New York City”>New York City as one of its new additions, though the network there had already gone live last month when we reviewed the LG Nitro HD.

The new regions join cities like Chicago, href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=36.175,-115.136388889&spn=0.1,0.1&q=36.175,-115.136388889%20(Las%20Vegas%2C%20Nevada)&t=h” rel=”geolocation” target=”_blank” title=”Las Vegas, Nevada”>Las Vegas, and Boston, bringing the total number of AT&T LTE markets to 26, covering 76 million Americans. While a big step forward, it’s still quite short of the 200 million Americans now covered by Verizon’s LTE network, and with only a handful of LTE devices in its arsenal, AT&T has some catching up to do on all fronts. Perhaps some Windows Phone surprises next week at href=”http://www.cesweb.org/” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”Consumer Electronics Show”>CES will do the trick?
