Samsung has outed its financial reports for Q4 2012 which reports that it has earned $8 Billion (8.42 trillion won) in profit. Samsung has generated about 52.45 billion US dollars (56 trillion won) of revenue in Q4, representing an over 7-percent quarter-on-quarter increase and almost a 90-percent jump year-over-year.
The company also released its fiscal 2012 figures — this past year, Samsung scored a net profit of 23.8 trillion won ($22.25 billion) on revenue of 201 trillion won ($187.9 billion).
Samsung mobile business is the key in its Q4 reports. Samsung Mobile Communications grew 4 percent over the previous quarter numbering 27.23 trillion won ($25.5 billion); company said the robust sales of the Galaxy S III (passed 40 million sales) and the Galaxy Note II(sold 5 Million units until November) as the key drivers in its smartphone performance.
The company’s Display Panel segment had a rough quarter despite demand for smartphone and TV panels, but its Consumer Electronics and Semiconductor Business pulled in profits and gained numbering 740 billion won ($691.6 million) and 1.42 trillion won ($1.33 billion).
Robert Yi, senior VP and head of investor relations said, “Despite uncertainties in Europe and concerns over the U.S. fiscal cliff creating a difficult business environment, we did our best this quarter to achieve strong earnings based on a strategic focus on differentiated and high value-added products as well as our technological competitiveness.”
So ow its clear hat Samsung earned a lot from its Mobile Division and that’s too from Galaxy Android lineup. So We expect more excellent devices from Samsung in coming months.
