According to a report the Sociable its expected that One Million Apps Will Be In Google Play Store. Google actually caught up with Apple in October with 700,000 apps and now report also suggests that Google Play currently have 800,000 Million Apps. Similarly in April count will rise to 900,000, and then hit the big 1 million around June of 2013.
Sociable explains how they gathered data:
We took all the figures we could find that have been documented through the years and used a process of polynomial regression in an attempt to roughly determine when Android would reach one million apps.
